This 5-day safari journey combines Tanzania’s most scenic and wildlife-rich destinations. From the baobab-dotted plains of Tarangire to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater and the diverse ecosystems of Lake Manyara, travelers will enjoy exceptional game viewing, breathtaking landscapes, and cultural elements. The itinerary finishes with an Arusha Town Tour offering insight into local life, markets, and crafts before departure.

Itinerary summary

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) – Transfer to Arusha Town;

Day 2: Arusha Town – Full-Day Safari in Tarangire National Park;

Day 3: Karatu Town – Full-Day Safari in Ngorongoro Crater;

Day 4: Karatu – Lake Manyara National Park – Return to Arusha Town;

Day 5: Arusha Town Tour – Departure via Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO);

Driving in the Parks/Conservations Areas;

  • For clients’ safety and that of the wildlife, our Safari Driver Guides are not allowed to exceed a speed of 50KPH in the parks, while the speed limit inside the park is strictly 25KPH.
  • Game viewing from vehicles is restricted to designated tracks/ roads and driving off- road is not allowed except in specified areas; please check with your Guide.

Itinerary Details

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire – Baobab Giants & Elephant Herds

After breakfast in Arusha, your adventure kicks off with a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park — home to the largest elephant population in Tanzania. You’ll enjoy a full-day game drive across diverse terrain filled with ancient baobab trees, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and a rich array of birdlife.

Enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the Tarangire River, where you may catch dramatic scenes of wildlife coming to drink or even predators stalking prey

Day 2: Arusha Town – Full-Day Safari in Tarangire National Park;

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park famous for its ancient baobab trees and large elephant herds. Enjoy a full-day game drive along the Tarangire River, a permanent water source that attracts a variety of wildlife including lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, impalas, and rich birdlife.
After a picnic lunch in the park, continue with afternoon game viewing before driving to Karatu Town for overnight.

Day 3: Karatu Town – Full-Day Safari in Ngorongoro Crater;

After an early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater one of Africa’s most spectacular natural wonders. The crater floor provides a unique micro-ecosystem that shelters a high concentration of wildlife. Expect opportunities to spot elephants, lions, buffalos, hippos, zebras, flamingos, hyenas, and if lucky the endangered black rhino.
After a picnic lunch by the hippo pool, continue with game viewing before returning to Karatu for dinner and overnight.
**Today you will have an Option of doing a Maasai Boma Visit**

Day 4: Karatu – Lake Manyara National Park – Return to Arusha Town;

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park known for its scenic groundwater forest, open savannah, acacia woodlands, and the shallow alkaline lake that attracts flamingos and other waterbirds. The park is also famous for its tree-climbing lions, herds of elephants, giraffes, hippos, and numerous primate species.
After a rewarding game drive, return to Arusha Town for dinner and overnight.

Meals: Lunch & Dinner

Day 5: Arusha Town Tour – Departure via Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO);

After breakfast, enjoy a half-day Arusha Town Tour which may include visits to local markets, cultural heritage shops, museums, cafes, and craft centers for souvenirs.
Later, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) to connect with your international flight back home.

  • Please put your trash in authorized sites only in order not to litter the parks/conservation.
  • Put burning cigarettes and butts in your vehicle’s ashtrays.

  • Do not bring any animals or any plants to the parks/conservation.
  • Do not bring any poison, weapons, explosives, or any object of that kind into the Parks.
  • Do not get out of your vehicle, or hang out of the windows near any animal.
