Itinerary Details
Day 1 Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania!
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), our Golden Trips Tanzania driver-guide will meet and greet you with a warm smile and a quick transfer to Tulia Boutique Hotel & Spa(or any other similar accommodation), nestled in a tranquil neighborhood of Arusha. This charming hotel offers excellent service and relaxation after a long journey.
Day 2 Tarangire National Park – Baobabs & Elephants
After a hearty breakfast, depart with your private safari guide toward Tarangire National Park. Known for its ancient baobab trees, massive elephant herds, and year-round water source, the Tarangire River, this park offers superb game viewing—especially during the dry season.
Enjoy a full-day game drive with picnic lunch inside the park before continuing to Kudu Lodge, located in Karatu town near the Ngorongoro Highlands.
Day 3 Karatu to Serengeti – Enter the Endless Plains
Today is a highlight of your safari. After breakfast, drive toward Serengeti National Park, crossing the Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route. Stop for scenic photos at the crater rim before descending into the vast plains of the Serengeti.
Arrive by mid-afternoon for a game drive in the Central Serengeti, known as Seronera, home to abundant resident wildlife and big cats. Check into Pori Pori Tented Camp, your authentic bush lodge under canvas.
Day 4 Serengeti Morning Game Drive – Drive to Ngorongoro
Start your morning with a sunrise game drive in Serengeti, when predators are still active and animals gather around water sources. After brunch or a packed lunch, begin your drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with sweeping views along the way.
Arrive at Embalakai Ngorongoro Camp, located near the crater rim, in time for dinner and a peaceful evening surrounded by highland forest.
Day 5 Crater Safari – Fly to Zanzibar Island
Wake up early for a once-in-a-lifetime safari inside the Ngorongoro Crater, often called “Africa’s Garden of Eden.” This UNESCO World Heritage Site shelters over 30,000 animals in a unique, self-contained ecosystem—including black rhinos, lions, buffalo, hippos, and more.
After lunch, return to Arusha and fly from Kilimanjaro Airport to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, transfer to Tembo House Hotel, located in the heart of Stone Town.
Day 6 Stone Town & Prison Island Tour – Transfer to Nungwi Beach
Today begins with a guided walking tour of Stone Town, where Arab, Indian, and African cultures meet. Visit historic landmarks such as the House of Wonders, the Sultan’s Palace, Dr. Livingstone’s House, and the Old Fort.
In the afternoon, hop on a boat to Prison Island, home to giant Aldabra tortoises and crystal-clear waters ideal for snorkeling.
By evening, transfer north to Nungwi Beach, one of Zanzibar’s most pristine stretches of sand, and check in to Nungwi Beach Resort by Turaco.
Day 7
Nungwi Beach – Full Day to Relax or Spice Tour
Enjoy a full day at leisure on Nungwi Beach, soaking in the sun, swimming in the Indian Ocean, or indulging in spa treatments. You can also choose to go on an optional Zanzibar Spice Tour, where you’ll explore tropical plantations and learn about the island’s world-famous cloves, nutmeg, vanilla, and cinnamon.
Day 8 Zanzibar Departure – Farewell, Paradise
After breakfast and a relaxed morning, your driver will transfer you to Zanzibar International Airport for your onward flight home, taking with you memories of an incredible African adventure—from roaring lions to whispering palms.
